BACKGROUND
Each year, St. Therese organizes a 5-day retreat centered around the Steubenville Youth Conference in Springfield, Missouri or Steubenville, Ohio, for students entering 9th grade through those who just completed 12th grade. The conference has engaging speakers, fun events, and time for praise and worship together, but is particularly centered around the sacraments, offering Confessions, daily Mass, and Eucharistic Adoration. Our parish is joined by over 3,000 other teens at a given weekend, with over 30,000 teens participating throughout each summer in the United States. The parish extends this weekend into a 5-day retreat with ~10 hour bus trip on each end, two extra nights, and several events and talks. We now travel in partnership with other Appleton-area parishes to build local Catholic community and share this powerful experience.
